No, you don't need any license besides the operating system license.

You should acquire one license for each site, which makes two licenses.
We'll consider degressive rates in case of several sites.

Are special skills required to install the Noematics REFLEXION search engine? |
The Noematics REFFLEXION installation program is entirely automatic : it only asks you to select an existing web/intranet site pointing to the directories where your documents are stored,
and takes care of the configuration of the IIS Web server and of the Component Services.
The only thing you have to do prior to installing is to check the existence of such a web/intranet site and to create one if needed.
In some special configurations, the webmaster will have to "manually" configure IIS and the component Servides, following instructions given by the Noematics REFLEXION documentation.

Are special skills required to administer the Noematics search engine? |
No special skills are required: a very complete and user friendly administration interface allows you to manage and customize indexing and search functionalities by means of menus and forms.

Does the Noematics engine index all the words of my documents? |
Yes. Noematics REFLEXION takes into account all the words in all the documents that it can read. By "word" we mean any character string bounded by separators at left and at right. Noematics uses more than 50 separators, from usual punctuation to non-printable characters sometimes encountered in documents.

My site contains documents whose formats are not currently supported by the Noematics engine. Is it still possible to index those documents? |
Yes. Noematics will consider adding to REFLEXION the filters specific to those formats.
This is possible because Noematics uses a filter (or converter) for each type of document format, to extract their purely textual part for indexing.
